Working in the Detmold reading room

Research in the archive holdings and inspection of the archive materials generally takes place in the archive reading room and is free of charge.

If you have any questions, the reading room supervisor will be happy to familiarise you with the procedures in the user room or assist you with your initial research. It is advisable to prepare for your visit to the archive. It is helpful to research existing treatises and source publications beforehand.

You can connect your own laptop at all workstations in the reading room; computers with access to digitised archive material, microfilm readers and reader printers are available.
