Working in the reading room in Duisburg

Research in the archive holdings and inspection of the archive materials generally takes place in the archive reading room and is free of charge. A fee is charged for making reproductions of archive materials.

If you have any questions, the reading room supervisor will be happy to familiarize you with the procedures in the user room or assist you with your initial research. It is advisable to prepare for your visit to the archive. It is helpful to research existing treatises and source publications, as these often contain specific references to archival sources. This makes it easier to search our finding aids and order archival materials.
